The Rev. Dr. Gregory S. Williams is a man of God, a husband, and a father. He grew up in High Springs, Florida, after moving from Walterboro, South Carolina. Pastor Williams received his Bachelors in Religion and Philosophy at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida. Furthermore, he received his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry specializing in Death and Dying, in May 2007 at Gammon Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Williams has a passion for doing God’s work. He is the loving husband of 29 years to Davina Randolph. He is also the proud father of their 22-year-old daughter, Deviny, and their 17-year-old son, Justin.
Dr. Williams began his ministry under the mentorship of Rev. Emile Ennis at Fort Street UMC in Atlanta, Georgia. There, he served as an assistant pastor to the Homeless and Youth ministries. Subsequently, his ministry continued at St. Mary United Methodist Church in Hogansville, Georgia, and Burns United Methodist Church in Newnan, Georgia. His ministry, with the help of God, grew from part-time to full-time status. Consequently, both churches increased in membership, expanded, and remodeled. He pastored both churches for 10 years, feeling blessed to do so.
God continued to expand Dr. Williams’ ministry in Douglasville, Georgia. He served as the pastor of Golden Memorial United Methodist Church for 13 years. While Dr. Williams was at Golden, its membership increased from 200 to over 1300 members. He served on the Rome Carrollton District Board of Ordained Ministry as Chairperson, of the District Strategic Growth Committee. Currently, he serves on the Black Congregational Development Committee, the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and the Committee on Local Pastors and Transfers. Lastly, he received the 2011 Denman Youth Award at Golden, as well as the 2015 Harry Denman Evangelism Award.
Dr. Williams’ is a builder, visionary, leader, and teacher and his greatest achievements follow the footsteps of what he believes. They are increasing parishioners, preparing them for the 21st century, and laying the foundation for a $28 million senior living community.

Reverend Jacquelin Ratliff is passionate about her faith and the centrality of the Gospel, the doctrines of grace, relevant expository preaching, and building authentic generational ministry opportunities. She believes in community engagement, connecting and equipping God’s people for ministry through teaching and serving beyond the walls of the church within the community and abroad. Rev. Ratliff’s compassion for the lost and passion for outreach/mission can be seen throughout her life and ministry.
A native of Texas, Rev. Jacquelin Ratliff is a graduate of Mercer University (B.S.) with a concentration in Family Counseling, Candler School of Theology (M.Div.) and currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry in “Courageous Leadership in a Changing Culture” from Drew University. Rev. Ratliff has served as the Senior Pastor at North Springs United Methodist Church for four years. Prior to North Springs, she was appointed as Senior Pastor at Bold Spring UMC in Carnesville, Georgia, and Pastor of Discipleship at Christ UMC in Roswell, Georgia.
As a lifelong Methodist, Rev. Ratliff’s leadership in the North Georgia Conference has included service on the Housing and Homeless Council, The Connectional Discipleship Committee, as well as the Outreach/Missions Committee.
Prior to Rev. Ratliff’s call to ministry, she served in the political sphere with the Georgia General Assembly for over 17 years. She brings forth a wealth of business, marketing and administrative experience to the Methodist Church. With Rev. Ratliff’s background and the ability to build bridges between all groups of people, God has prepared her for such a time as this within the Church.
Rev. Ratliff is married to Marquis Ratliff for over 26 years. They are blessed with their daughter, Meighan, Kris (son in- law) and three grandkids, Karter, Kori and Karsyn.

Rev. Tavares Stephens is the former senior pastor of Suwanee Worship Center. Prior to his arrival at Suwanee, he served as pastor of Eastside UMC in Atlanta, Georgia and Associate Pastor at Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. In his pastoral roles, he has served as pastoral lead for Christian Education, Stephen Ministry, Benevolence, and Young Adults. He also formerly served as director of Children, Middle School, and Youth Ministry.
Tavares was a recipient of the Candler School of Theology’s John Owen Smith Award for Preaching and was featured in By Faith magazine as a Harry Hoosier Spirit Award honoree for his diverse ways in proclaiming the gospel. Prior to receiving his call to ordained ministry, Tavares spent sixteen years as an educator. He is a former Teacher of the Year and was a recipient of Turner Broadcasting’s Teacher Appreciation Award. He also co-authored Reading Revolution, a book of biographies covering important contributions made to civilization by people of African descent and formerly served as a freelance education writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Learning Together Company – a company devoted to developing high engaging reading tutoring curriculum aimed at boosting student achievement. Additionally, Tavares served as a contributing author to the anthology The Secrets to Uplifting the Mind, Body, and Spirits of African American Male Students.
Tavares is also an accomplished artist. He is a former member of Poetry Atlanta’s National Slam Poetry team and the creator of the spoken word CD, “Lend Me Your Ear.” He also authored Soulfood Café, a book of poetry, and wrote and produced the Ascension Project, a gospel music project that fuses praise and worship and spoken word poetry. Tavares also co-founded VerbalEyze, a non-profit specializing in the professional development of youth and young adult writers.
Tavares also serves as a content consultant for the non-profit Fearless Dialogues – a group which focuses on creating unique spaces (using art, music, and theory based modules called “experiments”) for unlikely partners to engage in hard, heartfelt conversations about taboo subjects. In his work with this organization, Tavares has aided multiple United Methodist conferences and dozens of United Methodist churches, across the country, in helping them see and hear one another with deepened empathy that can lead to radical hospitality, relationship building, and racial healing in their communities. In addition, he serves a mentor with the North Georgia UMC’s Committee on Race and Religion’s Racial Healing Cohort. In this role, he aids individuals who have committed to being vessels of racial healing develop ways and means of building beloved community within the churches and communities in which they serve.
Tavares graduated with a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in English Education from the University of Georgia. He and his wife of twenty-one years, Nicole, have been blessed with two children, their son Simeon and their daughter Nia.
