DESCRIPTION:Call to action: During the month of June (June 1st – 30th)\, we will collect your gently used eyeglasses and readers or sunglasses. \nDrop-off details: Please drop off your gently used prescription eyeglasses\, reading glasses\, and sunglasses (no cases required but helpful)\, in the designated collection bin (Located in the Narthex). Contact: For questions\, email ou******@********ca.org. \n\nOn behalf of the Outreach Ministry at St. James\, we are hosting a donation drive to collect gently used eyeglasses\, readers\, and sunglasses for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. Georgia Lions Lighthouse served nearly 70\,000 patients (July 2024–June 2025) through screenings\, exams\, glasses\, and surgeries. \nGA Lions Lighthouse Foundation is a statewide nonprofit that provides vision screening\, eye exams\, glasses\, and eye surgeries to underinsured Georgians. The donated eyewear helps restore sight\, independence\, and quality of life for people in financial need across Georgia.

On Mission/Outreach Sunday we’ll celebrate the many ways God is at work through us—here at home and beyond. —and invite you to join in fresh\, heartfelt ways. \nHere’s how we’re staying engaged and hopeful:\n• Celebrate our local impact: through the Drake House\, Free Food Giveaway\, Angel Tree\, Beauty for Ashes partnership\, Nursing home visits\, HomeStretch\, Family Promise\, LOM\, Kairos outreach\, and more. These ministries are changing lives now. \n• Partner spotlights: meet our ministry partners and learn concrete ways you can serve—donation needs\, and family friendly opportunities.\n• Be a witness of hope: through prayer\, giving\, volunteering\, and telling the story—every small action matters and points others to Jesus. \nWe know the world feels uncertain\, but faith calls us to respond with compassion\, creativity\, and courage.
