DESCRIPTION:Call to action: During the month of June (June 1st – 30th)\, we will collect your gently used eyeglasses and readers or sunglasses. \nDrop-off details: Please drop off your gently used prescription eyeglasses\, reading glasses\, and sunglasses (no cases required but helpful)\, in the designated collection bin (Located in the Narthex). Contact: For questions\, email ou******@********ca.org. \n\nOn behalf of the Outreach Ministry at St. James\, we are hosting a donation drive to collect gently used eyeglasses\, readers\, and sunglasses for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. Georgia Lions Lighthouse served nearly 70\,000 patients (July 2024–June 2025) through screenings\, exams\, glasses\, and surgeries. \nGA Lions Lighthouse Foundation is a statewide nonprofit that provides vision screening\, eye exams\, glasses\, and eye surgeries to underinsured Georgians. The donated eyewear helps restore sight\, independence\, and quality of life for people in financial need across Georgia.

The CTSS Senior Ministry warmly invites everyone aged 55 and better—both members of St. James Alpharetta and friends from the wider community—to join our monthly gatherings. We meet on the second Saturday of every month at 11:00 AM on-site at 3000 Webb Bridge Road\, where you’ll see our vibrant ministry colors of purple and white. For a modest yearly membership of $20\, you can plug into a community dedicated to serving others through church-wide outreach and deepening our walk with God through weekly Bible studies and daily prayer. \nBeyond our monthly meetings\, we invite you to mark your calendars for our signature Senior Weekend this August. The celebration begins with a meaningful Prayer Breakfast in the Chestene Carter Center for Excellence on Saturday\, August 15th\, followed by a dedicated Senior Sunday in the Sanctuary on August 16th. Grounded in our ministry scripture\, Philippians 4:13\, we aim to encourage\, equip\, and empower every senior to serve God and our neighbors with strength.
