CMY and the Outreach Ministry will partner to host our annual Free Food Saturday – Back-to-School Edition on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This community outreach event will provide free food and school supplies to local families as they prepare for the upcoming school year. We will give out both free food and school supplies to our local community.
Congregation members are invited to support this effort by donating new school supplies for elementary, middle, and high school students. Donations may be dropped off at the Chestene M. Carter Center of Excellence by noon on Friday, July 25. Together, we can help ensure that students in our community begin the school year equipped and ready to succeed.
This year’s event will be a collaborative outreach effort held in conjunction with Free Food Saturday. In addition to distributing free food and school supplies, Beauty for Ashes will provide showers and support services for unhoused individuals, as well as serving meals, allowing St. James to minister to a wide range of needs within our community.
