2026 we will celebrate our 20th year of Confirmation at St. James Community Church!

Confirmation is a 12-week preparatory journey for youth ages 12-17 that takes place annually at St. James Community Church. This ritual journey symbolizes the decision a youth makes to accept Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. For some the journey is a re-affirmation of the vows made at baptism. Confirmands’ twelve (12) week experience includes classes and activities that invite them into deep spiritual exploration and development, self-discipline and discovery of what it means to be a Christian youth. They will learn about: God, faith, our church history, African American history. Furthermore, they will engage in community building and enjoy various fellowship & bonding experiences. This is an exciting time in the lives of St. James youth and prayerfully they will have a great time in the process!
