About Us

Our Mission

Ushers serve the needs of the congregation with a spirit of excellence. We are doorkeepers in the house of God. Ushers help to create an environment where the congregation always has their undivided attention upon the Lord.

Our Vision

To emphasize the spiritual dedication and commitment required in serving God’s people through daily devotion and prayer and participation in Bible Study.
To teach the importance and function of an usher through training.
To demonstrate Godly conduct inside and outside the church.

Ushers help the congregation locate seats, collect the offering, and provide comfort and hospitality. They are available to assist the Pastor and provide other’s services as requested.

Ushers must be able to handle emergencies and crisis situations that occur within the Sanctuary.

A Good Usher:

A good usher becomes a landmark to churchgoers who learn to depend on them. It is not uncommon for an usher to become an advisor, a source of information, or better yet, an intermediary between the needs of a specific person and the resources available through the church. “A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid” (Matthew 5:14).
A good usher is like a lamp that dispels darkness and brings warmth and welcome to everyone in a room. As ushers, we have a similar impact as the light of God shines through us to others entering our Sanctuary. “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).

“…remembering the words, the Lord Jesus himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
